Tom Shepherd. (1967-2020)

 

Long time HOPRA member, Senator, and innovator has been lost. Tommy Shepherd was considered as the Slot Car Guru leading to many of the fastest slot cars to race. Always trackside with stories and laughter he never turned down a helping hand to a racer. His knowledge and skills lead to countless National Championship victories by him and the drivers who raced his cars. The “Shep’s” tires were the front runner in the hobby, winning just about every championship race sense the early 2000’s. Our deepest condolences go out to the Shepherd family. The 2021 Championship event will be dedicated to Tommy.
