Sam Heller. (1958-2021)

 

Long time HOPRA member has lost his battle with cancer. Sam had a passion for racing. He raced in several racing organizations and clubs across the country. "Slammin Sammy" and "Samurai" were a few nicknames he wore proudly. Sam was a pivotal part in MAHOPRA and bring East Coast racing to what it has become today. He was the guy you would hope would be at the race you attended. He brought great laughs and stories to every event and always made every event he attended better because of his presence. Sam was the kind of guy that got along with everyone, and was truly happy to be around people whether it was at a dirt race, slot car outing, or a family function.  He LOVED life!  He will be missed by all dearly.
